MUT Online Application Form 2025 – Apply Now

The Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) admission management has made available the Online Application Form for the Academic year 2024/2025. Interested and qualified candidates are now invited to apply for admission to MUT for the 2025 intake.

MUT Application Requirements

It is important to note that each faculty at Mangosuthu University of Technology has its entry requirements, which will be based on a point total, according to the candidate’s top five subjects. Some departments also set up an entrance examination due to limited available spots, so not all candidates who reach the minimum requirement will be accepted.

For entry into the NVC at NQF Level 2, you require:

  •  A year-end report for Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 or an
  •  An NQF Level 1 qualification, or
  • An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose of accessing  NQF Level 2, or
  • A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION

All new applications must be accompanied by:

  • Certified copy of latest school report/statement of results/Grade 12 or N3 certificate.
  • Six certified copies of the ID of the Learner.
  • Two certified copies of the ID of the Parent/Guardian.
  • One ID-size photo of Learner.

How to Apply to MUT

All first-year applications are submitted through the Central Applications Office (CAO). This is a simplified way of applying for more than one program, using one application form, and paying a single application fee. Use your unique CAO number as a reference when paying the application fee. We advise prospective students to choose MUT as a first choice.

Application forms can be downloaded from the CAO website, www.cao.ac.za. You may also apply online from the same website following these guidelines:

  1. click on the Apply tab
  2. then click on “Apply now”,
  3. and follow the easy application process.

The CAO number appears in the tear-off slip on the CAO application form.
