Deloitte is now inviting students to apply for their bursary program for the 2024 academic year. The Deloitte Financial Contribution fund helps the best students to pursue their dream of qualifying as Chartered Accountants. Applications are open throughout the year. The financial assistance program covers expenses such as tuition fees, prescribed books, and accommodation. Upon graduation, students will be obliged to a service-binding contract for three years.

About the Deloitte Bursary Programme

Each year, Deloitte awards bursaries to deserving students. Bursaries are awarded to learners studying towards a SAICA-accredited Chartered Accountancy qualification (undergraduate or postgraduate).

The bursary award covers a portion of tuition fees, prescribed textbooks and in certain instances accommodation, each application is reviewed individually and based on the information provided, the amount of funding awarded will be determined. Upon completion of their studies, students are required to complete a 3-year traineeship program with the company.

Application Requirements for The Deloitte Bursary

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen or a Namibian citizen
  • You must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
  • You must have passed Mathematics in Matric (not Mathematical Literacy)
  • You must be studying or intend on studying towards a Chartered Accountancy undergraduate or postgraduate qualification
  • You must be studying or intend on studying at a SAICA-accredited University

How to Apply for The Deloitte Bursary 2024

  1. Register for a Deloitte online profile at https://joindeloitte.co.za/Account/Register.
  2. Complete the online application for a Training Contract.
  3. Pass the online application to enable the Financial Contribution tab. Click and follow the steps included in the Financial Contribution process.
  4. Make a schedule to attend an Assessment Centre at one of the Deloitte offices. Upload the required documents.

Financial Contribution applications will only be granted to applicants who can obtain a Training Contract after attending the Assessment Centre. The Financial Contribution selection process takes place every month. Applicants will be contacted about the result of the Financial Contribution application.

Bursary applications can be submitted throughout the year, as this bursary does not have an appointed time of closing date, candidates applying are urged to send their applications ahead of time, so they reach them before the closing date.
